He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dee and Mary Louise Dee (Stadler); his son Mark Dee; and his siblings, William, Richard, James, Robert, Donald, Patrick and Jean Smiley.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Dwyer of Jewitt's Point; his children, Jeff Dee (Missy) of Mankato, Deb Hendrickson (Roger Smeby) of Faribault and Kim Hedenstrom (Mark) of Faribault; his grandchildren, Chad, Taylor, Michael, Riley, Charlotte, Jessica, Eric, Katie (David), Gina (Alex), Amy and Megan; his great grandchildren, Drew, Azaree, Ava and Asher; and his sister Kathy Peterka. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home (1725 Lyndale Ave N, Faribault, MN 55021). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church (139 Mercy Dr, Faribault, MN 55021). A burial will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (3415 Calvary Dr, Faribault, MN 55021).
