She was predeceased by: her granddaughter Jessica Eve Stong; her siblings, Francis, Raymond, Margaret Larson, Agnes Broulliard, John, Leo and Grace Fontanini; and her parents, Frank Byrne and Agnes Byrne.

She is survived by: her husband Eugene; her children, Daniel (Joni), Gary (Nina), Gene (Theresa), Jacqueline Tonn (Gary), Renee Thurmes, Terry Patricia Stong (Edward), Brenda Thurmes and Jennifer Hansen; her grandchildren, Todd Thurmes (Nicole), Karissa Zimmermann (David), Nichole Schmidt (Grant), Melissa McDonald (Steve), Jeremy Tonn (Megan), Joshua Tonn, Shawna Sietsema (Lance), Brian Stong (Clare), Jeffrey Stong (Cristina), Angela Britt (Michael), Emily Stong, Nolen Hansen and Jase Hansen; and her siblings-in-law, Steve Fontanini and Joan Thurmes (Christopher Hansen). She is also survived by other loving nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. Michael's Church or the American Heart Association.
