He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Liz" Batta (Sundstrom); his sons, Jeff Batta (Jane) of Lakeville, MN and Tom Batta (Amy) of Watertown, SD; and his grandchildren, Zach, Chloe, Grace, Max, Sam and Ryanne.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (22120 Denmark Ave, Farmington, MN 55024).
