Donald Shoemaker Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 5, 2025, at the age of 97, Donald Shoemaker of Fergus Falls, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora E. Shoemaker and Maude Shoemaker (Parks); his wife JoAnne Shoemaker (Milburn); his daughter Teresa Shoemaker; his grandson Bradley Schmidt; and his siblings, Infant Baby Jay, Faye, Audra, Lou, Verdie, Ruby, Mona, June, Orville, Doyle and R. B..
He is survived by: his children, Loraine Schmidt (Daniel) of Rapid City, Gina Slechta (Bob) of Crestview, Florida, Thane Shoemaker (Ruth) of Natchitoches, Louisiana, John Shoemaker (Judith) of Bismarck and Royce Shoemaker (Jennifer) of Fergus Falls, Minnesota.; his brother Royce; and his sister-in-law Jennifer. He is also survived by his 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home & Cremation Services-Fergus Falls (301 E Washington Ave, Fergus Falls, MN 56537). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
