He was predeceased by: his parents, Euclid Bombardier and Bertha Bombardier (Abbott); his parents-in-law, Morris and Evelyn Johnson; his daughters, Bonita Benson and Brenda Eiter; his stepdaughter Brenda Campbell (Fick); his siblings-in-law, Vernon Johnson and Joyce Barnes; and his granddaughter Lisa Eaves.

He is survived by: his former wife Lola Severin; his sons, Larry (Marcia) of Crookston and Gary of Fergus Falls; his wife Phyllis Johnson; and his stepchildren, Brian Fick (Barbara) of Hammond, WI, Jana Fick of Backus, MN, Jonathan, Douglas Fick of Luck, WI and David Fick of Columbia Heights, MN. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
