We are sad to announce that on July 1, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Eleanore Darlene Gilbertson of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, born in Fertile, Minnesota. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Gilbertson; her siblings, George, Mark and Mary; her siblings-in-law, Lynn and Patti; her parents, Robert and Myrtle; and her parents-in-law, Harold and Ora.

She is survived by: her children, Lydia (John) of Brooklyn Park, Chuck (Jenna) of Rochester, Jared (Krista) of Rochester and Jessica (Greg) of San Diego; her grandchildren, Happy, Ella, Forest, Henrik, Ethan, Klaus, Ashley (Alex), Hailey, Makenna, Noni and Loki; and her great grandchildren, Reagan and McKinley. She is also survived by many siblings, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Erikson-Vik-Ganje Funeral Home (203 Albert Ave NW, Fertile, MN 56540). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Maple Bay Free Lutheran Church (13960 380th St SE, Fertile, MN 56540).

In lieu of flowers, feel free to make a donation to Rodnes Church and Cemetery fund which held a special place in Ellie's heart.
