He is survived by: his children, Gaylon Bakken (Julie), Gaylene (Ryan) and Gaydine (Fred); his grandchildren, Ben Bakken (Tara), Phillip Bakken (Samantha), Illana Schmid (Jake), Tanner Schmitz, Addisyn Smith, Hailey Spiess and Gavin Spiess; his great grandchildren, Avery Bakken, Brantley Bakken, Aubrey Bakken, Brynn Bakken, Aivlee Schmid, Vince Schmid and Sylvie Schmid; his sister Elaine Knutson; and his girlfriend Leona Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
