He was predeceased by: his parents, Helge Carlson and Jerutia Carlson (Elliott); his daughter Teresa; and his siblings, Elizabeth, Dorothy, Eugene and Harold.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Jeanette Frautschi of Pelican Rapids; his son Thomas (Lisa Cape) of Pelican Rapids; his grandsons, Tate Carlson (Nick) of Minneapolis and Oakley Carlson of Pelican Rapids; and his brother Richard Carlson of Erhard.
