She was predeceased by : her parents, Peter Thies and Mary Thies (Goerdt); her siblings, Dolorosa Howard (Lester), Lawrence Thies (Ione), Irene Burtzel (Wenzel), Laverne Thies (Frances), Bernice Keller (Louis) and Lester Thies (Betty); and her sister-in-law Sally Thies.

She is survived by : her husband Willmer of Fergus Falls; her children, Jeffery Leitch (LeeAnn) of Lake Elmo, MN, Lucy Weiss (Larry) of New Albany, IN, Jenifer Leitch (Bob Kim) of Broomfield, CO, Lynn Borchardt (Kevin) of Rogers, MN and Paula Leitch of Fergus Falls; her grandsons, Brian Leitch (Janelle), Daniel Leitch and Andrew Borchardt; her great grandchildren, Haley, Alivia and Mallory; and her brother Leonard Thies. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
