It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn Haarstad of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, who passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marilyn Haarstad to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ernest Milton Halbakken and Laurina Bertha Korth Halbakken; and her siblings, Esther Rian (Mark), Edith Fosse (Arthur) and Ralph Halbakken (Carol).

She is survived by : her niece Cheryl Hovland (Halbakken); her nephews, Bob Rian and Tom Fosse; her children, Michael O. Haarstad (Linda) of Rothsay and Kathi Grewe (David) of Alexandria; her grandchildren, John Haarstad (Angela), Rebekka Sievert (Derrick), Paul Haarstad (Jill), Brent Grewe (Megan) and Laura Loberg (Eric); and her great grandchildren, Kaden, Hailey, Isaac Haarstad, Jacob, Justin, Kallie Sievert, Grady, Samuel, Edward Haarstad, Dexter, Harper Grewe, Claire and Kate Loberg. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Olson Funeral Home (711 Pebble Lake Rd, Fergus Falls, MN 56537). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Knute Nelson Hospice.
