He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gilbert and Lora Jane Larum (Heifort); his son Matthew John Karl Larum; and his brother-in-law Corey Hoefs. He is survived by: his wife Patty Larum; his daughter Krista Larum (Ben Formo); and his siblings, Julie Hoefs, Kathy Haffley (Gary), Tom Larum and Erik Larum (Mandy). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
A memorial gathering was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fergus Falls VFW Post 612 (420 E Washington Ave, Fergus Falls, MN 56537). Visitation was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Grace United Methodist Church (1100 Friberg Ave, Fergus Falls, MN 56537). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
