He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Sauer and Joseph Sauer; his wife Margo (Jacobson); his parents-in-law, Art and Vera Jacobson; his siblings, Harold, Kelly, Earl, Richard and Lyle; his nephew Steven Sauer; his niece Stacey Miller; and his siblings-in-law, Sandy Sauer, Verna Sauer, Jean Sauer and Jack Knoll.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Sauer (Kathy Sauer), Ann Hill (Jay), Muffy Meyer (Mark) and Ellie Kunz (Bob); his grandchildren, Brian Sauer (Erica), Chuck Sauer (Veronica), Jonathan Sauer, Ashley Hamilton (Austin), Bethany DeLange (AJ), Alex Hill (Allison), Andrew Meyer, Phillip Meyer, William Meyer, Maddie Draeger (Alanna Allred), Mathiah Draeger, Isaiah Draeger (Paige Hickson), Eli Draeger and Olivia Kunz; his great grandchildren, George, Victoria Sauer, Parker, Elizabeth Sauer, Declan, Graham Hamilton, Caleb DeLange, Reese Hill and Veira Draeger; his siblings, Marge Knoll, Gerry Stefanich (Greg) and Cathy Gumeringer (Bill); and his sisters-in-law, Pearl Sauer and Marilyn Sauer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
