He is survived by: his wife Jeannie Taallerud of Fertile; his daughters, Lisa Christianson (Jan) of Fertile and Lori Theis (Mike) of Fosston, MN; his grandchildren, Joely Gustafson (Derrick), Jaden Solie (Lucas), Cort Christianson (Clara), Callie Theis and Zach Theis; his great grandchildren, Colt and Della; and his brothers, Tom Thorson of Philadelphia, PA and Jim Thorson (Kim) of Brooklyn Park, MN. He is also survived by his wife of 62 years and their family.
David dedicated his professional life to helping others as a Chemical Dependency Counselor with Norman County, Inter-County Community Council, and the Glenmore Foundation.
