She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Athey and Reva Athey (Sampson); her stepbrother Dwaine Pickell; her brothers, LeRoy and Marvin Athey; her siblings-in-law, Peggy Koland and David Koland; and her niece Wendy.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Koland; her sisters-in-law, Linda and Bonnie Athey; her children, Greg Koland (Marady) and Joelle Montzka (Rick); her grandchildren, Jonah (Alicia), Maddi (Cody), Libby (Bryson), Sarah and Thomas; her great grandchildren, Hazel and Coraline; and her siblings-in-law, Darlene Carlson, Diane Kirby and Ronald Koland (Marilyn).
