He was predeceased by: his parents, John Oetterer and Alma Oetterer (Heinonen); his wife Lillian Kari of Joseph's Catholic Church; and his sister Anna Marie Oetterer. He is survived by: his girlfriend Phyllis Ceaglske; his children, Paul (Dennette) of Finlayson, Dave (Sherri) of Hinckley, Todd (Nancy Banta) of Willow River, Loren (Tanya) of Finlayson, Kari Gilpin (Dennis) of Finlayson, Mary Oetterer (Steve Hiel) of Finlayson and Diane Volk (Dean) of Sandstone; his brothers, Robert of Oregon, Stanley (Sue) of Fridley, MN, John (Glenda) of Hinckley and Bernie (Sue) of Moose Lake; his grandchildren, Jay, Wade, Drew, Josh, Kevin, Luke, Liz, Travis, Molly, Henry, Cody, Kyle and Cameron; and his great grandchildren, Jamison, Alyss, Kevin, Aaron, Bailey, Oliver, Gavin, Chloe, Waylon, Anna, Riley and Odin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (203 Lawler Ave S, Hinckley, MN 55037). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
