Maki Avelli wrote a sympathy message

“I don't know if Dan and LaVyrle will read this message or if is passed along but if so, I am so very sorry to learn of Amy's passing. I just learned about it a short time ago via the web. I've known Amy since she was old enough to drive. Beth and I dated and Amy would drive us around, hang out with us, be our "ride" in Dan and LaVyrle's big silver Buick I think it was at that time...before they got the Celica in '82. Anyhow, Amy was a lot of fun to drive around with. She had a great personality, was super funny and quick witted. I liked Amy a lot. Her younger sister, Beth, adored her older sister and found her hilarious much of the time. May Amy be resting in a loving place, surrounded by her two sisters and loving grandparents. Again, I'm so very, very sorry to hear of Amy's untimely passing.”
