He was predeceased by: his parents, Loren and Joann; and his sister-in-law Karen Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Murphy; his children, Krista Wilcox (Wes) and Derrick; his stepdaughters, Kelly Dixon and Katelyn Dixon; his grandchildren, Lukas, Tyler, Vivian, Nash and Landon; and his brothers, Jeff, Greg (Lori) and Chris (Diane, family: Wayne Murphy, Nancy, Sherrie, Patty, Kim). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Roberts Family Funeral Home (555 SW Centennial Dr, Forest Lake, MN 55025). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
