He was predeceased by: his siblings, Eugene Brooks and Miriam "Sis" Schliesing; his stepfather George Bever; his stepbrothers, Ralph Bever and Raymond Bever; his granddaughter Sammantha Brooks; his niece Wanda Doocy; and his nephews, Terry Scott and Blaine Scott.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Brooks; his son Ron; his granddaughter Hannah; his sisters, Sandra Jennings and Cuzzolino; his stepsiblings, Robert Bever and Marilyn Warner; his nephews, Greg Bever, Rick Bever, Brad Schliesing, Tim Jennings (Jackie) and Burt Scott; Orville Brooks and Dorothy Brooks.
