With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jim Hermes of Forest Lake, Minnesota, born in Tacoma, Washington, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 9, 2024 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eleanor Muriel Halpin and Henry Wade Hermes; his grandson Joshua Hermes; his sister Patricia Cowing; his brother-in-law Carl Cowing; his brothers, David and Ted Hermes; and his brothers-in-law, Peter Machaiek, Tony Swanson and Raymond Swanson.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Hermes (Swanson); his children, Sarah Bye (Ron), Wade Hermes (Teresa), Joe Hermes (Melanie) and John Hermes (Casey); his siblings, Marianne Machaiek and Mike Hermes (Pat); and his sisters-in-law, Ann Marie Hoheisel (Ron) and Joyce Swanson.
