It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maynerd Carl Sandberg (Forest Lake, Minnesota), who passed away on June 2, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Sandberg and Jennie Sandberg; his sister Eljane Matheson (Bud); his wife Verna Emilie Malcolm; and his great grandchild Malia Peterson.
He is survived by: his sister Carol Johnson (Wes); his children, Vermae Matheson (Merlyn), Daniel Sandberg and Deborah Dahlberg (Rich); his grandchildren, Annette Peterson (Joe), Amy Oliver (Ben), Alisa Matheson, Clinton Dahlberg (Cara) and Charles Dahlberg (Briana); his great grandchildren, Madilyn, Marissa, Ethan (Grace), Isaac, Noah (Clara), Josiah, Meghan, Calvin, Elizabeth, Silas, Gideon, Arnisia, Rose, Ian, Emily, Owen, Addie and Theo; and his great great grandchild Ginny.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crossroads Evangelical Covenant Church (17445 Notre Dame St NE, Columbus, MN 55025). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
