He was predeceased by: his parents, F. G. MacLachlan and Frances MacLachlan; his siblings, Mary Zhe (Gil), James MacLachlan (Rosemary) and William MacLachlan (Lorna); his brother-in-law Gary Tollers (Susan); and his in-laws, Albert and Elisabeth Fleischfresser.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Fleischfresser of Park Falls, WI.; his children, Margery Bertram (Craig) of Wyoming, MN and Matthew MacLachlan of Denver, CO.; his grandchildren, Emily Bertram of Denver, CO, Megan Bertram of Denver, CO, Timothy Bertram (Emily) of Austin, TX and Jacob Bertram of Wyoming, MN; his stepgrandchildren, Tommy and Leslie Ferebee of Torrance, CA.; his great grandchildren, Claire and Olivia Bertram of Austin, TX.; and his siblings-in-law, Karen Hogan, Susan Tollers and Peter Hogan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lakes Lutheran Church (25402 Itasca Ave N, Forest Lake, MN 55025). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
