He is survived by: his wife Dawn; his daughters, Shawn Anne Buttschau (John), Tracy Sword, Kelly Kowalczak (Jason) and Carey MacLennan (Brent); his grandchildren, Riley, Jesse, Kaylee Kowalczak and Anna; his daughters, Maddie and Robbie MacLennan; his siblings-in-law, Linda Verbiscar (John), Lisa Jirgl (Brian) and Mark (Patti); and his cousin Dave Ongstad.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Roberts Family Funeral Home (555 SW Centennial Dr, Forest Lake, MN 55025).
Memorials may be directed to St. Therese at St. Odilia Hospice in Shoreview, MN or a recovery program of donor's choice.
