He was predeceased by: his parents, Knute Flateland and Etta Flateland (Anderson); and his siblings, Arley Flateland and Keith Flateland. He is survived by: his siblings, Annette Nelson (Gerald) of Trail, MN and Bradlee Flateland (Margaret) of Foley, MN; his sister-in-law Sylvia Flateland of Trail; and his sister Kathleen Larson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
