He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ball and Mildred Ball (Palmerton); his wife Lois Dunning; his children, Randy Ball, Peggy Nelson and Roberta Freeman; his grandson Bobby Ball; his sons-in-law, Wally Nelson and Paul Ophus; and his siblings, Kenneth, Clyde, Clarence Ball, Sidney Lyon, Betty Holm, Joyce Kutzler and Allen Coates.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debbie Moen (Ernie) of Cambridge, MN and Judy Ophus (Arne Stahel) of Fosston; his grandchildren, Nate Moen (Marie), Erin Weller (Justin), Sara Ball, Jennifer Ball, Ben Nelson (Jill), Brady Nelson (Amanda), Dana Wojciechowski (Keith), Jolene Nelson, Kelly Sather (Nick), Andy Ophus (Alanna Hanson) and Hannah Cook (Corey); his great grandchildren, Nettie, August, Lane Moen, Peyton, Reagan Weller, Molly, Maddy, Gus Nelson, Talia, Harvey, Elloise Nelson, Kally Wojciechowski (Max Okke), Isaiah Lande, Paxton Gauger, Brodie, Owen Sather, Emily, Blake, Rhett, Ella Ophus and Oliver Egersdorf-Boyum; his brother Leonard Ball; and his son-in-law Paul Freeman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
