She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Anderson and Borghild Anderson (Nelson); her former husband Carl J. Nelson; her husband Roy R. Schmieg; her son Lyle Nelson; and her siblings, Alida Dallmann, Eveleth Ulven, Silvie Kronbeck and Orvis Anderson.
She is survived by: her children, Curtis Nelson (Cynthia) of Maple Grove, MN, Gary Nelson (Linda) of Excelsior, MN and Kathryn Rohman (Arden) of Frazee, MN; her grandchildren, Pat Nelson, Paul Nelson, Christopher Rohman, Sage Rohman, Anthony Nelson and Natalie Wendell; and her sister Jeannine Zebley. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
