He was predeceased by: his parents, Zeno Hoppe and Veronica Hoppe (Paul); his siblings, Virgil Hoppe, Louise Simmer, Rosemarie Och and James Hoppe; and his grandson Jerimiah Hoppe.
He is survived by: his children, Byron Hoppe (Teru) of Grey Eagle and Brenda Pomrenke (Richard) of Fort Ripley; and his siblings, Joe Hoppe of Freeport, Harold Hoppe of Freeport and Janet Hoeschen of Minneapolis. He is also survived by five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
