The memory of Norman Hoppe of Freeport, Minnesota, who passed away on November 16, 2025 at the age of 90, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Zeno Hoppe and Veronica Hoppe (Paul); his siblings, Virgil Hoppe, Louise Simmer, Rosemarie Och and James Hoppe; and his grandson Jerimiah Hoppe.
He is survived by: his children, Byron Hoppe (Teru) of Grey Eagle and Brenda Pomrenke (Richard) of Fort Ripley; and his siblings, Joe Hoppe of Freeport, Harold Hoppe of Freeport and Janet Hoeschen of Minneapolis. He is also survived by five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home (418 Fifth Ave SE, Melrose, MN 56352). A prayer was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at 6:45 PM and at 6:50 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery - Little Falls (15550 MN-115, Little Falls, MN 56345).
