He was predeceased by: his parents, Aloys Hoppe and Rose Hoppe (Klasen); and his siblings, Edwin Hoppe, Judy Hoppe, Danny Hoppe, Herb Hoppe, Rita Fischbach, Evelyn Fischbach and Dorothy Hollenkamp.
He is survived by: his wife Jan; his children, Jeff Hoppe (Mary) of Freeport, Barb Hasbrouck (Dane) of Monticello and Pam Salzl (Mark) of Monticello; his siblings, Elmer Hoppe (Karen) of New Brighton and Ruth Dundon (Mark) of Bellevue, Washington; his sister-in-law Val Hoppe of St. Cloud; his grandchildren, Markie Budesky (Laurel) of Monticello, Michael Budesky (Taylor) of Mankato, Amelia Budesky of Monticello, Sara Hoppe of Freeport and Rebekah Hasbrouck of St. Cloud; his stepgrandchildren, Gunar Salzl of Deltona, Florida and Rowan Salzl of Monticello; and his great grandchildren, Lilah, Landon, Jude and Owen.
