She is survived by: her parents, Bill Nelson and Jarmella Nelson; her children, Hannah Joppa, Caitlin Diekman (John), Nathaniel Joppa and Samantha Joppa; and her siblings, Benjamin Nelson, Andrew Nelson (Kayla) and Angela Tjoens (Bob). She is also survived by other family members including many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Woodcrest Baptist Church (6875 University Ave NE, Fridley, MN 55432). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 12:15 PM at the Morningside Memorial Gardens (11800 University Ave NW, Minneapolis, MN 55448).
