He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Johnson and Carolyn Johnson (Ahlstrom); his former wife Dorothy Johnson; and his siblings, Warren Johnson, Ronnie Johnson, Lonnie Johnson and Norma Hufford Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Renee Johnson of Gaylord, MN; his sons, Kevin Johnson (Ana Jimenez) of Vancouver and Brian Johnson of Eau Claire, WI; his stepchildren, Paula Stanfield (Tory) of Stewart, MN and John Stanfield Jr. (Amanda) of Hutchinson, MN; his grandchildren, Noelle, Kajsa, Gary, Zachary and Kyle Johnson; his stepgrandchildren, Huxley Kuehl and John Stanfield III; and his siblings, Jari Brellenthin of Montevideo, MN, Barb Crerar of St. Petersburg, FL and Alan Johnson (Phyllis). He is also survived by Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (513 Main Ave E, Gaylord, MN 55334). A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
