He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin M. Kuphal and Janice F. Kuphal (Monson); his grandparents, Martin Sr., Esther Kuphal, John Arnold and Florence Monson; and his brother-in-law Larry Harbarth.

He is survived by: his children, Kevin Kuphal (Crystal) of Alcester, SD, Tracy Kuphal-Strand of Champlin, MN and Tim Kuphal (Jenna) of Crooks, SD; his grandchildren, Jordyn, Lucas, Lane Kuphal, Keaton, Krosby Strand, Kaidyn and Karson Kuphal; and his siblings, Barb Harbarth of Gaylord, MN, Betty Kuphal (Linda Hallen) of Brooklyn Park, MN and Gary Kuphal (Carol) of LaCrescent, MN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews as well as several extended family members and friends.
