He was predeceased by: his wife Elaine Dourleyn of John's Evangelical Lutheran Church; his parents, Palmer Blaalid and Esther Blaalid (Gregory); his siblings, Bernell Blaalid and Glen Blaalid; and his parents-in-law, William (Bill) and Alvina Dourleyn.
He is survived by: his children, David Blaalid of Gibbon, Julie Wiethoff (Fred) of Fairfax, Susie Blaalid of Courtland, Sheri Krogen (Tim) of Marshall, Daniel Blaalid of Morgan and Dianna Wiethoff (Charlie) of Gibbon; his grandchildren, Ashley Honetschlager (Eric), Cassaundra Brunick (Kyle), Luke and Rachel Wiethoff; his great grandchildren, Elliette, Falon Honetschlager, Logan, Palmer and Scottie Brunick; his sister Margie; and his brother-in-law Jerry Buerkle of Wisconsin. He is also survived by nieces, nephew.
