He was predeceased by: his grandsons, Lucas and Cody; his siblings, Arnold Schweiss (Hilda), Florence Kotten (Ivan), Silverius (Bernice) and Leona Mathiowetz (Aloysius); and his parents, Joseph Schweiss and Hedwig Schweiss (Huhn).
He is survived by: his wife Doris Wiedl of Mary's Church; and his children, LeAnn Frank (Richard) of Fairfax, Brian of Detroit Lakes, Barbara (Ann Wenzel) of Winona, Lori Feuerhelm (Matthew) of Winona, Patrick (Elizabeth) of Sedona, Arizona, Mark (Lisa) of St. Louis and Jodi of New Richland. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in honor of George to Allina Hospice or Cedar Heart Homes in Franklin, Minnesota, whose compassionate care and support meant so much during a difficult time.
