She was predeceased by : her parents, Steven Thomas and Elsie Thomas (Laine); her son Michael Mancina (Debra); and her granddaughter Katherine Kennedy. She is survived by : her husband Jack A. Makela; her children, Toni Lee of Harrisburg, PA, Keith Mancina (Ella) of Eveleth and Jeannie Kennedy of Spring, TX; and her sister Marlene Kovich of Virginia. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
