He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearl Conklin and Violet Conklin (Stewart); his wife Virginia Dormanen; his son Rodney; his son-in-law Donovan Johnson; his siblings, Clifford (Edna), Lester, Leon, Floyd (Norma), Wayne (Doris), Gordon (Mae), Alice, Vera, Orval, Alvin and Marvin; and his brother-in-law Robert Eliassen.
He is survived by: his children, Tammie Johnson of Gilbert, Randy Conklin of Gilbert, Michele Weyandt (Jerry) of Lino Lakes and Aaron Conklin of Gilbert; his grandchildren, Ryan Johnson, Jorja Demuth (Allan), Jenna Bloomquist (Logan Pavleck), Ranell Lamke (Matt Phifer), Trevor Conklin, Logan Weyandt (Megan), Spencer Weyandt, Rachel Weyandt (Michael Stelly), Michael Weyandt (Bean Erickson), Emily Weyandt and Baylee Weyandt; his great grandchildren, Daniel, Allisa (Thomas), Casey, Carter, Carli, Paityn, Easton, Dalamar, Lincoln, Caisyn, Cylus, Syrena and Brooks; his great great grandchild Scarlett; his sister Joann Eliassen; and his sister-in-law JoAnn Conklin. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
