He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Vaida and Marie Vaida (Malovasich). He is survived by: his brother Joseph of McKinley; his nieces and nephews, Jade, Catelin, Jeris, Kelsi, Elise, Kayden and Logan; and his cousins, Mary Murray and Mike Dolinar.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM. A rosary will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 6:45 PM at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home (108 Broadway, Gilbert, MN 55741). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (515 Summit St N, Gilbert, MN 55741). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
John enjoyed motorcycle riding and participating in charity rides such as the Passport Run and Get Stamp for Fun.
