With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Steven Chmielewski of Gilman, Minnesota, who passed away on January 12, 2026 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Helen Chmielewski (Gombos); his siblings, Raymond, LeRoy and Beverly; and his son Ryan Thomas.
He is survived by: his father Stephen Sr. Chmielewski; his brother Kenneth; his wife Roxanne; his children, Terri Chmielewski, Steve Chmielewski III (Tina Gondeck), Tonya Montesinos (Miguel), Trisha Bemboom (Joel), Lindsey Chmielewski (Selvin Gonzalez) and Leslie Dingmann; his stepson Jacob Edson (Katie); his grandchildren, Alycia (Tyler Midas), Megan, Ryan, Addison, Kalina, Andrew, Marissa, Sam, Anna, Bennett, Easton, Anelie, Mason, Avett and Adler; and his great grandchild Sienna.
In lieu of memorials, donations can be made to the Foley area CARE (Community Action Respecting Elders) group.
