He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Burandt and Ella Burandt (Gatz); his parents-in-law, Harold and Deloris Karels; his siblings, Pearl Menden (Irvin), Margie Lenz (Lester), Dennis Burandt (Maggie), Darlene Tesch (Skip), Melvin Burandt, Alvin Burandt (Flora), Sylvia Dummer (Raymond) and Diane Kyes (Bruce); his brother-in-law Wes Lampher; and his pet Missy.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Burandt of Glencoe, MN; his children, Bruce Burandt (Carol) of Sioux Falls, SD, Kim Kletscher (Bruce) of Scottsdale, AZ, Kristi Alberts (Rick) of Glencoe, MN and Paul Burandt (Denise Zachow) of Shakopee, MN; his grandchildren, Adam Burandt (Stefani), Jacob Burandt (Kimmie), Karina Kletscher, Maren Harrell (Alec), William Kletscher (Morgan Slawson), Krystal Kube (Adam), Breanna Brueggemeier (Casey), Mackenzie Horstmann (Ben) and Abbey Vorachek (Dustin Schalow); his stepgrandchildren, Eric Kurtz (Kara), Jesse Kurtz (Kathryn) and Jason Kurtz (Heidi); his great grandchildren, Hank Burandt, Mack Burandt, Luella Burandt, Connor Kube, Cooper Kube, Landon Brueggemeier, Charlie Brueggemeier, Hayden Horstmann and Haddie Horstmann; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Gavin Kurtz, Madeline Kurtz, Benjamin Kurtz and Josie Kurtz; his sister Karen Gueningsman (Marcel) of Shakopee, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Anna Burandt, David Karels (Kim) and Janice Lampher. He is also survived by Nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie or Ridgeview Hospice.
