He was predeceased by : his parents, Ben Ostendorf and Mary Ostendorf (Thielen); his former life partner Dorothy Thelen; his children, Michael Ostendorf, Joanne Ostendorf and Sharon Ostendorf; and his siblings, Richard Ostendorf (Edna), Mary Ostendorf, Gilbert Ostendorf (Monica), Leona Prokop (Cecil), Veronica Morgel (Walter), Clarence Ostendorf (Marcella), Roman Ostendorf, Herbert Ostendorf (Delories) and Glorine Raeker (Eugene).

He is survived by : his wife Phyllis Sopkowiak; his children, Sue Walz (Chuck), David Ostendorf (Sue) and Keith Ostendorf (Marina); and his stepchildren, Jerome Sopkowiak (Lisa), Lyle Sopkowiak (Jaye Ann), Joyce Wohler (Ron), Joanne Foust (Richard) and Lois Reishus. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorials are preferred.
