He was predeceased by: his parents, James McDonough and Lila McDonough (Holtberg); his wife Marlys Clausen; and his siblings, Bonnie Zavadil and Jerry McDonough.
He is survived by: his children, Regina McDonough of Eagan, Debra McDonough of Bloomington, Dan (Lisa McDonough) and DeAnna (Merf Andersen); his brother James McDonough; and his brother-in-law Elmo Clausen (Puring). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home (122 1st Ave NE, Glenwood, MN 56334). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 at the Our Saviors Lutheran Cemetery.
