She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Wolle and Ruth Wolle (Bond); her brother George Bond Wolle; her husband Ole Lee; her siblings-in-law, Bjorg Johnson, Reidun Gullikson, Herman Johnson, Allan VanDeusen, Roy Johnson, Harold Gullikson and Kenneth Bruce; and her nephews, Brian Johnson and Kent Johnson.
She is survived by: her son John Howard (Kim); her sister Nancy VanDeusen Bruce (Wolle); her son Cary Lee (Julie); her grandchildren, Duncan Lee (Alyssa), Carter Lee, Mason Lee, Nolan Lee and Danielle Lee; and her nieces, Tally Gentry, Linda Mohr, Beth Johnson and Becky Raiche.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Hennepin United Methodist Church's Dignity Center or to Joan's favorite place, the University of Minnesota Arboretum.
