He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Theodore Qualey and Inga Helen Qualey (Tinnesand); and his siblings, Howard Qualey, Evelyn Myrum, Opal Eck and Bette Ost.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Qualey; his children, Nicole Syverson (Kyle), Justin Qualey (Nikki) and Zachary Qualey (Hannah); and his siblings, Gerri Staye, Helen Klopp, Sandi Buermann, Joanne Houts, Pat Westling, Carol Eidelbes and Elaine Anderson. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
