It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald E Lovaas of Grand Marais, Minnesota, who passed away on April 7, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Donald E Lovaas to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Dan Lovaas and Mabel Lovaas (Strom); his siblings, Harold, Kenneth and Virginia; and his children-in-law, Tim Nelson and Carol Lovaas.

He is survived by : his wife Ruth; his children, Jean Nelson, Jim Lovaas (Wendy), Julie Birgersson (Peter), Steve Lovaas (Nancy) and Mark Lovaas; his grandchildren, Lisa Ricke (Reese), Lydia Nelson (Jeremiah), Claire Lovaas, Jonathan Lovaas (Shandelle) and Michael Lovaas; and his brother Vernon Lovaas. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.

Memorials are preferred to Grand Marais Evangelical Free Church.
