He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Smith and Myrtle Smith (Linnell); his wife Jan; and his siblings, Gerald, Ronald, Dean, Dwight and Melva Schulte.
He is survived by: his children, Ryan Smith (Cindy) and Laurie Myrdal (Neal); his grandchildren, Lauren Smith, Bradley Myrdal, Cole Myrdal, Lee Myrdal (Iris) and Lacey Myrdal; and his great grandchildren, Jessalan, Reece, Ace and Wesley.
