The memory of Leo Ellis Barnes (Grand Meadow, Minnesota), who passed away on January 14, 2025 at the age of 89, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Barnes and Velma Barnes (Putnam); and his siblings, Ray, Fay Barnes, Joe (Judy Barnes) and Rea (John Fuller).
He is survived by: his wife Millie Koenigs of Grand Meadow, MN; his children, Duane, Sonja Helgeson (Lonnie), Terrie Hemann (Duane), Janice Schmelzle (John), Trudy Swanson (Dean) and Tracy Benson (Cray); his brother Rex Barnes (Joyce); and his great grandchild Leo Benson. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Leo's honor to Lion's Hope Non-Profit based in Duluth, MN.
