He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale F. Benson and Hazel Benson (Arends); and his brothers, Dale, Max, Rex and Duane.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Dube of Grand Meadow; his children, Jason Benson (Denise) of Reno, NV, Cray Benson (Tracy) of Grand Meadow and Slone Suess (Bryan) of Kasson; his grandchildren, Zack Benson (Beth), Jessica Huneke (Kyle), Bryce Benson (Joclyn), Blake Benson, Kyle Benson, Joshua Benson, Peyton, Mya and Easton Suess; his great grandchildren, Ellis, London Benson, Leo Benson, Lennox and Hazel Huneke; and his sisters, Dixie Mathews of Rhinelander, WI and ValJean Thorsen (Tom) of Grand Meadow. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
