It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice C. Sarkela of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, who passed away on August 31, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolph Ljungren and Ellen Ljungren (Swanson); her husband Wilfred Sarkela; and her grandson Adam Krump. She is survived by: her children, Stuart Sarkela (Karen), Kristine Krump and Scott Sarkela (Rebecca); her sister Ruth Anderson (Richard); her sister-in-law Geneva Paulson (Roger); and her grandchildren, Derrick Sarkela (Jenny), Katherine Troudt (Kelly), Megan Sarkela, Nicholas Krump (Jessica), Allison Krump, Steven Sarkela and Erik Sarkela. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
