He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Houg and Edith Houg; his in-laws, Lloyd and Velma Robertson; his grandchildren, Melissa Schmid and Andrew Houg; and his nephew Michael Barg.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnne Houg; his children, Jeff Houg (Denise), Mark Houg (Kathy), Steve Houg (Vicky) and Shelly Lindstrom (Gary); his grandchildren, David, Daniel (Nicole), Amanda, Tasha (Dan), Nichole (Jack), Steven (Keri), Tim, Ben and Hannah (Dillon); his sister Myrt Barg (Don); and his grandson Tony Schmid. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (35568 Foxtail Ln, Cohasset, MN 55721). A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
