It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James LaPlant of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, who passed away on August 27, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Lawrence "String" LaPlant; his grandparents, William, Bessie LaPlant of Grand Rapids, Fred and Lillian Sampson of Hibbing; and his brother Gerald.
He is survived by: his mother Eunice LaPlant; and his siblings, Pamela Selmser (Pat), Linda Bruce, Susan Pinette (Bob) and Gary LaPlant (Tammie). He is also survived by care givers, friends, and extended family.
Following a private viewing for family members only, a graveside ceremony will be performed prior to Jim's final resting at the Itasca Cemetery out of respect for the medical community in regard to the Covid-19 pandemic.
