She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Reed and Viola Reed (Pilgrim); her husband Donald E. Hites; and her siblings, Joyce, Joann and Eugene "Gene".
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Hites of Grand Rapids and Diane Tri (George); her grandsons, Richard Sandell (Becca) and Daniel Sandell (Bobbi); her great grandchildren, Amelia, Kylie, Easton, Reid, Grant and Ethan; and her siblings-in-law, Helen Soring and Mark McFarland.
During Covid times, her grandson, Daniel, did not like the idea that she could not have visitors in the care center where she was living.
