He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Kottke and Kathryn Kottke; his brothers, Ralph and Robert; and his grandson Rian Kottke.
He is survived by: his son Chris; his wife Kathleen; his children, Jennifer Souers (Judson) and Christopher Kottke (Tami); and his grandchildren, Samuel Souers, Sarah Unfried (Stanley), Reed Kottke and Andrew Kottke. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
